The Innovation Development Alternatives (IDEAs) is a development oriented Non-Governmental Organization registered as a not for profit by the Registrar General’s Department with Registration number CG181030421. The organization is headquartered in Tamale and works in the Northern, Savannah, North East and Upper Regions of Ghana. It was formed in 2017 and legally incorporated in 2021 under the Ghana Companies Act 2019 (Act 992).
IDEAs has adopted a capacity enhancement approach to its practice, with the core philosophy of thinking Globally and Acting locally, thereby blending the international expertise and local knowledge in a manner that will inure to the benefit of the poor, marginalized and vulnerable segments of our coverage areas. Indeed, we are committed to the empowerment of Marginalized and rural communities through the design of innovative development models that support them to utilize their creative capacities for practical and sustained development of their communities.
